Would agree with you on the travelling support but would have to ask how there was 1,200 Bray fans there??? I actually thought we had more fans there than you did!

Btw, I'd stick Drogs v Dublin City down for about 1,000. Terrible crowd and you couldn't really blame the World Cup. That was the night of Switzerland v Ukraine!!

I'd love to think there were 1600 at the Bray v Drogheda game...but there weren't...I'd say closer to 700. About half of these were Drogs supporters...well done! For what it's worth, it might be difficult to gauge the local crowd, as very few people actually own a Wanderers jersey. Most people just turn up in their regular civvies.

How do Bray fans always seem to be so far out on what they think the crowd was? We have 700 at the lower end of the scale and 1,600 at the other end.

Don't think it was as high as 1600. I would have said around 1000 with half the crowd from Drogheda. Biggest Drogheda following I've seen in Bray for a good while. Would agree on the jersey point as Bray fans have not had jerseys to buy in about 4 years that's why its hard to judge the home support as most don't have jerseys to wear. .

Reason why i guessed that is because the stand holds 2000 and 2/3rds of it was virtually fuill and then with the bowling alley end thats the figure i came up with

Crowds crap everywhere due to summer football to facilate European teams and then Shels lose 3 nil, hardly worth k1lling the league so one club might get to the group stages of the champions league league and end up doing a rosenborg domestically.

The two week break was decided by some idiots due to the World Cup.

Shels did not cause the two week break and before you go getting the Cork lads upset, Ollie had no part in the break decision either

After the weekend. 2005 and 2004 in brackets. FD and PD indicate average crowd got in a different division to current year.

Waterford forum gives 250-350 and 400-450 for Waterford-Bohs. Everyone else seems to be in agreement at about 250. So it's going in at that until Partizan comes on with his usual rant. Going to go with 700 for Bray - Drogheda as it's the lowest guesstimate and appears at least reasonably thought out. Also agrees with Windmill Warriors breakdown of the crowd. Any others who were there, feel free to correct me.

    PREMIER DIVISION
    Bohs - 1514 (1976; 2340)
    Bray - 1250 (1550; 818 FD)
    Cork - 3050 (3644; 4033) (missing Drogheda)
    Derry - 2246 (2698; 1672)
    Drogheda - 1630 (1682; 1554)
    Dublin City - 493 (175 FD; 592)
    Longford - 844 (1004; 1131)
    Pat's - 1390 (1599; 1882)
    Shels - 1414 (1949; 2158)
    Sligo - 1958 (1794 FD; 781 FD)
    UCD - 502 (653; 306 FD)
    Waterford - 834 (1513; 1753)

    FIRST DIVISION
    Athlone - 334 (316; 291)
    Cobh - 351 (403; 240) (missing Limerick)
    Dundalk - 663 (474; 591)
    Harps - 457 (1347 PD; 1106) (missing Monaghan)
    Galway - 838 (566; 571)
    Kildare - 320 (186; 298) (missing Cobh)
    Kilkenny - 146 (185; 110) (missing Cobh and Kildare)
    Limerick - 416 (669; 188)
    Monaghan - 231 (183; 182)
    Rovers - 1125 (1539 PD; 1349 PD)

    Premier Division average - 1376 (1759)
    First Division average - 492 (520)

    Overall average - 978 (1195)

    Recent games missing -
    Kildare v Cobh

    I'm seriously surprised at that!
If asked to make a prediction, I'd have said there'd be no more than 20 there. Suppose the early KO helped.

It was 180 odd for the Waterford midweek game which clashed with the world cup aswell so I'm happy enough that we beat that.

All of this would suggest that between 180 and 200 people, who are not "Away" supporters, turn up to watch UCD at home.

That's right, only away fans are distracted by the World Cup, and all of our usual home support attend all Tuesday games.
