2006 Attendances

I'm usually quite happy to ignore anything the Star publishes. This whole thread came about as a way of getting proper guesstimates instead of Star crap.

Kildare in OP was under 1000 but not by much. Kilkenny on Good Friday, I counted ! 278 was what I got! I reckon that there was more away then home fans at it as well.

Fair enough - the Kildare MB wasn't far off. Had seen it as "pathetic", which is why I took it out.

278 is a good attendance for Kilkenny!

I know you don't take the Star's opinion but just saw it there and they reckon 1,000 at Pats V Bray last night! Just throwing that in there for reference!

What was the crowd like at Dalyer tonight? Proberley Dublin City's biggest crowd of the season. Will they have to give half the gate money to Bohs? Or some of it anyway?

Who cares really? It's just one person deciding on an attendance for each game. Who says it's official? It's not used for anything important and it is biased the majority of the time, I wouldn't worry about it RT

plenty of season ticket holders were at it too ya know.. also some people actually got in for free... my fathers friend told him that he got in for free with 4 others with him.. what is with that??

Pretty decent crowd,I thought - 1,900? I'm sure Chippie'll be on later with the official figure; oh, wait, it wasn't a home match......
