great home crowd so far this season, away support for bray has been the worst i've seen in a long time. But the two home games were against the best two teams in the league (cork + shels) cant wait to see the crowd against home farm are next home match.........................

semi official figure for Harps V Athlone is 450. Good Athlone support, fair play.

    Brutal attendance for Harps.

If there was a good Athlone crowd how many Harps fans were actually at the match? At this rate Letterkenny Rovers wouldn't have to do much work to get an el place and that would surely put Harps out of business.
"The Derry fans were fantastic in both matches. They sang their hearts out all the time and created an even better atmosphere than the Cup Final. They were brilliant. - David Graham, Gretna striker

always thought Athlone supporters had it handy - no local rival nearer than Longford, but on the other hand nowhere's THAT far - think of Derry/ Sligo/ Harps to Cork/ Cobh/ Waterford and vice versa; you're bang in the middle of the country - is anywhere with an EL team more than 100 miles away?

Athlone is the closest EL team to us, which is around 95km away.

total distances to other first division teams travelling from Athlone, All taken fron AA Ireland

    Finn Harps 127.7 miles
    Cobh 139.7 miles
    Monaghan 80.9 miles
    Galway 58.6 miles
    Dundalk 112.4 miles
    Limerick 77.1 miles
    Dublin 78.2 miles
    Kildare 64.2 miles
    Kilkenny 75.6 miles

So if it is handy for us then we should be getting loads of away support. Other than Galway, Harps and Rovers that aint goin to happen.

This is being sorted for the next home game where everyone entering the ground will be accounted for as there is also Health & Safety issues arising if a proper tally is not being taken.

The attendances so far should have read 1000 for Limerick 1150 for harps and over 1450 for Athlone. Unfortunately after last weeks dreadful game it will take some performances in Kildare and Cobh to get anything near that crowd up for Kilkenny on the 5th May.
Think every club would have 1000+ crowds giving out 600 freebies. How many do you think you would get if they had to pay?

Probably to increase their crowd figures so they guarantee their place at the Super Duper invite league next season.

Saucer of milk in the corner Stu.

As I recall you couldn't even get people to stay in the ground for the duration of the game when you gave out free beer tokens!

Pretty sad lads having a go at us when we're getting way bigger crowds at the moment than UCD and Athlone put together!

Sorry if it came across that way but I wasn't having a go. It was a serious question. How many do you think would turn up and pay €10 if they had to pay to watch First Division football every week especially the rubbish at the moment.

Put it this way 1450 at the match.
150-200 Athlone people at the match
    600 freebies
So 650 others. Take away season tickets. How many paid in?

    Apologies my mistake.
Going on the tripe the 1500 at Terryland had to endure the last night i'd say we'll be doing good to get a 1000 at the next game....unless we beat Cobh and Kildare away.To be honest i really haven't a clue how many would turn up if all had to pay. However most do....it's mainly U-12's who get in free and lets be honest they'll come anyway. If i was a fairweather i wouldnt after last Friday's "football" match.Would you?

Not a bad figure for us in a way. Is Bray really that high on average, seems a big jump up? Good to know no matter how bad we are on the pitch we are still the biggest team in Dublin
