Osam starts as he means to go on; referring to Dean Delaney's boo- boo for Bray's second, the master goes 'that's a bread and butter catch' dramatic pause 'butterfingers more like ...'

I thought Osam looked like he'd rather be anywhere else than in the studio.

What do the Shams (or Division 1 Rovers) fans think of Scully practicially
saying if they finished top of the league, but the stadium wasnt finished,
they wouldn't be complaining about not getting promoted!

    I dunno about that??

TV3 dont get a bean from the licence fee and RTE, because they are meant to be fufilling the role of a national broadcaster, get it all. Hardly fair i know but that is the way it is.

I was rather annoyed that it hasnt changed one bit. In any programme like this u try and improve but everything was the same bar taking off harps and rovers name at the intro and putting in sligo and dublin c. Music was the same and studio was same. Expected a little better aswell in the highlights package.

Not true, there's a percentage of the fee which goes into an independent fund. Setanta and TG4 got money but TV3's submission lacked "quality and good programme ideas" according to the BCI.

TV3 are rubbish and no amount if bleating by them about the licence fee will change that.

As for Scully, his general point about clubs being ready for the new league is one that we accept. But, it was a general point.

How do you qualify for a portion of that fund? Do Chorus get some of it?

They showed 4 games out of the 5 from last week's Premier programme. The one left out was Pat's v Waterford. Was it due to the renovations or the fact there were no goals? Osam remains very sceptical about the new changes whereas Scully seems very excited and certain they'll work. Osam raised the point that if a club does well on the field and is denied promotion then how the hell are they to raise the funding to turn it around in the future? The programme followed its exact same format. There were also highlights of the Shamrock Rovers game.

Do you need something in writing saying you have an agreement with a station to have it aired and you then get the money on the strength of that?

A Face - I know this is going way off-topic but the simple answer is I don't know. I suspect that you'd have to get your programme commissioned first but if you had a proposal that might qualify for this funding then you'd have a better chance of getting commissioned. Maybe.......
