The ultimate free-kick specialist. What an array of goals. I think that footage puts any argument to bed that Juninho is in a class of his own from deadballs. His technique is fascinating aswell because to get that dip and power requires something different and I think he makes more contact with the top of his foot as opposed to his instep. And he won't start for Brazil next summer!

    He's good at free kicks
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

Thats a great video - how many times were Henry, Ronaldinho and Okocha in there. I didn't see Clinton but I saw McAteer been made a fool of.

    Yes but so is Kewell.
Think that video was on here before and as someone said then looks like it might have been made by a united fan.
    Entertaining though.

Some curl on that. Nakamura's recent freekick for Celtic was excellent too:

    Juninho The Great

Anyone see the free kick he scored at the weekend against Ajaccio?
He was about 40 yards out, slightly to the right of the goals. He just strolled up and smashed it into the top right hand corner......

Undoubtedly the best free kick taker ever.

He's good but, I'd still say Sinisa was a better free kick (and pen) taker. If I was a keeper I rather face Juninho than him.

Any stats on that one edmundo?

Mijhailovic was special at them but I think Juninho has so much variation in his and has done it at the highest level of European football. There is also the question of the trajectory of footballs nowadays and perhaps it was more difficult to execute movement on the older ones.

    You may have a point

No one else can score from that sort of distance. That's the 3rd time I've seen him score from a 40yard deadball. Phenomenal!

First time I've seen that Eirebhoy and indeed it was a peach. However, you're sentence just doesn't have the right ring to it at all

Now if it was "look at the bend on this Ronaldhinho free kick"..... I mean, how does Jim Goodwin end up in a thread mainly dedicated to Juninho free kicks
