    Foo Fighters New Single

    Amigos!
Have a question for you rockers out there.
Just heard the new Food Fighters single "No way back" about 3 times in the past couple of days (on Scuzz, Kerrang and B4 channels) and it's a belter.
Not a huge FF's fan but this song is a great rocker.
Have tried Amazon (it's released on 16th March) but their charging around $9 plus postage. Matts CD singes/The Spacebar and other sites haven't got it yet nor is it mentioned in the Foo Fighters website either.

Can anyone recommend a store where I can buy it for a decent (ie not too dear) price??

Cheers and thanks if you can help.

    That's on their new double-album isn't it?
Might be worth getting the album all together from what i've heard, it's quality. That's 16 on Amazon.
FF singles should be available in any hmv or virgin or eh Zhivago for €4.99.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

O'Bama - "Eerah yeah, I'd say we can alright!"

    G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!

    Thanks a million Risteard.

Can you buy from HMV/Zhivago online in this country? E4.99 is a fair price for a single too.

I'm by no means a fan of The Foo Fighters but that album is a cracker (at the least the rockier disc is anyway, there's another disc which has all slower, softer tracks that I've barely listened to). The track "No way back" is one of the best songs on it. You could do much worse with your €20 than get this album.

Thanks to you too Paulie. I'm really into buying singles at the moment but my godson likes the FF so he'll probably buy the album anyway - I just love this particular song - really rocks - reminds me of Bob Seger at his rockin' best. Great guitar, harmonies and driving rock sound. Dave Grohl sound great on it too.

Cheers Risteard. I reckon what I'll do is phone Zhivago in Galway and pre order the single and get Shakedown to collect it for me when he's down there.
I tried shopireland but all I could get were albums, I'm afraid.

Do appreciate you guy's kind help.

*Have The Band's version of this

Some of the above I have on fairly fcuked up old record albums - the old K-Tel and Ronco thingys that came outin the early 70s but very scratched now and poor sound quality anyway.

** Saw Brady do an accoustic version of that song before a Glastonbury gig a few years ago - wonder is there an accoustic recording of it??

Are you looking for the songs, or do you actually want to get the singles?

Singles would be pretty hard to get, and would involve a lot of bargain-bin diving/e-baying etc.

If you just want the songs, you may be able to download them.
I should have a couple of them. Perhaps something could be arranged...

Stop slaggin old Beeslow, ya levitt

In fact, there are two shops but, like a lot of places, they're competing against the big stores in Galway, Athlone and of, course the internet. So, while you can order music DVDs and so on, it's handier for me to order from the Amazon and others in most cases.

Mucho gratias amigo. Problem is I kinda prefer the tactile experience of playing CDs and vinyl records rather than on this laptop - sound on it is very tinny TBH. But I really do appreciate your kind offer, good buddy.

BTW CTID did you see the recent reports that vinyl is making a big comeback?? Apparently the old vinyl factories are being expanded and new ones built to cope with the demand and most groups are now releasing on vinyl.
Also, the recent report that chemicals in the CD covers are seriously damaging the CD itself is another reason.

Hey CollegeTillIDie, here's a question you should now the answer to.

Remember when digital recording first started to happen - in the late 70s and early 80s?

What was the name of the first band to record a digital rock album. They were a kinda punkish outfit who disappeared shortly after they released that album.

    Here's a clue. "Cold War" .

    Here's another one. "Legia".
