Fair enough, tks. I just seem to remember there being a big fuss made over Roy Keane's selection in some obscure early 90s friendly in a regional town / city in Hungary. Maybe it was his first time in the squad, but he didn't get to play??

I meant that is where I knew it from. I remember him making his debut at home but dont remember who the opposition were. now you mention it seem to remember now from his book that he pulled out of something like that and was told he would never play for ireland again by Charlton...better ask owlsfan...he has a couple a copies of it!
