Sound chap Robbie. One of the few players around to have played at Milltown. Very popular with the Rovers fans.

Robbie has played for many years (sorry Rob!) in different clubs and we at Monaghan United are privleged to have his experience last season and again this season. To that end, we have run on the mons forum a series of questions and answers with Robbie and our dearly beloved webmaster has compiled same along with a piece that Robbie wrote on the mons website main page.
Just telling you all coz it may be of interest to any fan of eL.

He is. One of the nicest players have had to work with over the years. Him, Graham Doyle and Keith Foy are the 3 that have made my life in the club easier over the years. Gentlemen all.
Robbie is a top, top man. One of the soundest footballers you'll ever meet. Will always be very fondly remembered by Dublin City fans, as he and Toccy O'Connor lifted the 1st Division title together in 2003.
Probably the only keeper ever whose hair never moved during a game! Nice guy but always thought he was overrated, especially after a few disasters in Santry!
Every player has their disasters Hoopy and many times I have felt like killing Robbie after a feck up or too for us last season but u will b hard pushed to find a more committed player with a professional and friendly manner. I think that is even more important in a small club like ours where the team mingles with the fans after a game in the club bar and we like to promote a family atmosphere and Robbie is the consumate family man who fits right in.
Anyways enough Robbie worship, just visit our website and kneel at the shrine!
