Goalkeeper Darren Quigley was the most active Irish player in the opening 20 minutes of the U21 international against Sweden in Drogheda.
Quigley saved at the feet of Sweden's Alex Fernerud after just 11 minutes and within two minutes was stretched to beat away a shot from Samuel Holman from 18 yards.
Again it was Fernerud who threatened the Irish goal but Quigley was equal to the challenge after 17 minutes. In the midst of all this activity, Ireland could point to a shot from Willo Flood after 15 minutes which flew wide as their only attacking threat.
