Just come back from Barcelona and took in the Barca-Deportivo game at the weekend. Of course there were a couple of banners supporting anti-racism (despite the sh*te that Roberto Carlos got there last year) but there was another one incident that wouldn't have made the press. Where I was, during the second half, Molina kept goal. Now, some of you may not know this, but Molina has had testicular cancer twice, resulting in both his testicles removed. I've seen Deportivo numerous times around Spain but this was the first time that a section of the crowd took it amongst themselves to shout abuse at him over this, with chants like 'Molina? Have you got c*nts (sic.) now?'
Which is worse? Well I'm not black, but unlike a lot of people here, I have received what could be loosely called 'racial' abuse in my life, and I would rather be called an 'Thick Irish b*stard' than someone bring up the loss of my power to reproduce and the threat to my life that sacrificing this, has removed.
This is the cooooooooooooolest footy forum I've ever seen!
Dunno. I'd probably have a go at opposition keepers for that
