We're playing you lot tonight (hopefully). Can anyone confirm if the match is on, and what is the new route to the ground from the campus? The last time I was there I took the old route, along by the athletics track, to find that it was closed off.

The pitch looked a little bit frozen this morning but I think the match should be on. Your best way to get in is through the gate on Foster's Avenue. It has a big sign saying "Nova" something. I'd have thought the Athletics track route was ok. It's the only possible way through the campus.
Btw, be sure to bring some cash. Other clubs seem to be charging for friendlies and this one is in the stadium so you never know.
Thanks.

There wasn't much of that barrier left when I was going home from that game.Originally Posted by manic da hoop
I don't know if something's been rebuilt though so you'd be safer going in via Foster's Avenue.

Lads you signed a player called Jimmy Hussey of use can you tell me what position he plays in and is his name not James Hussey
He's a goalkeeper.Originally Posted by sidcon

Fair point do you know what age he is, Just James Hussey was a very promising Under 21 Keeper trying to confirm weather its him or not
He's pretty young I think. I assume it's the same guy.

If you don't mind getting your shoes dirty there's still a jogging route to the left of the athletics track, also there's a new gate from Glenomena (the apartments overlooking the glenomena end) which you can get at through the 'pay and display' car park just past the athletics track on the left but the Foster's Avenue gate is your best bet.
It's snowing heavy where I am. Getting a bit worried about this fixture.
It can't be much colder than Lansdown last Wednesday. I'll dress warmly anyway.
Pitch blanketed in snow = no match, no?Originally Posted by Bald Student
I'm not actually in Belfield but I'm close enough and if it continues snowing as it is now, the pitch will be under an inch.
It doesn't appear to be sticking![]()
Your lads aren't afraid of the cold, are they?

It's quite heavy. It better not last, or we're off for the evening.Originally Posted by Poor Student
Just in case it's on, the gate the lads are talking about is marked E in this map down along the left.
You can't spell failure without FAI
Just use an orange ball, something I don't think I've seen at a match!Originally Posted by Poor Student

Hey, nice idea! I really, really doubt we have one, but nice idea...Originally Posted by Schumi

Reminds me of something weird the Setanta commentator said in the Derry v Shels match. "Lets hope they have some orange paint so they can paint the ball".![]()
Can anyone check with Maccer about the game?
What's his extension number? I doubt he'll answer though.Originally Posted by Poor Student

The Mirror magazine from yesterday gives the club's number as 7162183. It's definitely a UCD number anyway.
Edit: I see you tried. I sent Pineapple a text asking him to ask Maccer but got no reply.
2nd Edit: Snowfall has stopped for now here. It was only begining to stick.
