    dont do this debate again

well done to harps...rovers have reducded their debt massively in the last 3 years too and we're hoping it can we wiped out very soon

however i must say i was very disappointed in harps fans last year...the attendance were very poor at some games, harps fans are very passionate...

the home support held steady all season, the only difference was an increase in away supporters travelling to finn park

dont think many bar stoolers were tempted through the gates due to poor results.

Many of the kids in the area do aspire to playing senior football, be it for Harps or Derry (who get depressingly many players from the North of Donegal). This close season has seen a bit of a merry-go-round between our U21 squads! Harps have allocatated money towards the foundation of a youth academy in this years budget, which will hopefully improve relations with junior and intermediate clubs (after all, the players who don't make it to senior level should still become better footballers, helping their clubs).
Sounds good, its definitely something all clubs should be trying to do, i think it'll be impossible to ignore as time goes on.

The dual registration idea was one of the few really good ideas that Genisis contained and will hopefully be implemented sooner rather than later.
Ah, dual registration ... whazzat ? I actually have't heard of that at all.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

I shouldn't be saying this as we benefit from it but....IMO for Harps to become a Premier club on a regular basis they need to improve their youth system. I know Gorman is looking into this but we have still been able to poach talent from Donegal and mainly Inishowen. Just look at Farren or Mc Glynn who has a phenomenal amount of appearances considering his age. Our U-21 team also contains mainly Donegal men.

Harps are never going to have the financial clout of City so youth is their best option. On the Harps board there is always tales of us getting to talent in Donegal because Harps haven't bothered their arse.

As much as I hate Finn Harps it would be nice to be see them match the new ground with a decent team as there is plenty of potential in Donegal.
