Seeing that the other thread on Gerry Carr is locked, I would like to say thanks and best wishes to Gerry for all he did for Rovers. He made a big contribution to the club, without him I dont think we would have won the league. Hope to see him back one day. A living legend.

You are right Redzer when you say that Gerry carr played a big part in securing the League - I hope Sean has a few more players lined up because we are going to suffer if he hasn't.

Dont know about if he wasnt there we wouldnt have won the league but he will definately be missed by both fans and players!! Thanks Gerry!!!

Sligo Rovers assistant manager Gerry Carr has today announced the reasons behind his recent resignation from the club which has came as a major surprise to players and fans alike. Speaking exclusively to Ocean FM Sport Gerry Carr stated that he wished to put it on record that the split had come about as a result of opinionated differences with the current manager Sean Connor and had nothing to do with any criticism of current players nor had it anything to do with any differences over a playing contract for himself.

I heard gerry said he will still be going to the matches to support rovers this season.....I dont think we've heard the end of "gerry carr,gerry carr,he has no hair,we dont care"

i cant believe you people are seriously considering of being anti-sean connor..the man brought us back to the premier league in his FIRST SEASON!

we all know that raff agreed to a new deal but was influenced apparently...not sean's fault,raf got greedy IMO
sure he might have fallen out with a few people and i'm not happy about gerry either but there is no way you can say you're in an "anti sean connor brigade"! he's brought back the good times to the showgrounds!

I'm fully behind the manager. He has been our best manager as far as team performance/results go for 10+ years. he is a poor man manager though! I think he loves the likes of O'Hara, McNamara, Burns, O'Grady and looks down on some of the others maybe???

i meant who was Red4Eva was implying was in it!Why would i be against sean connor! if it wer'nt for him we'd probably be lookin forward to another season scrappin for a mid-table position in the graveyard! I sang his name at every match last year and will continue to do so this season!!!
