Question Glass Pitches / Small Goal Posts

Lads, can some of the lads from the Kerry District League (Tralee clubs i think) fill us in on the story behind the broken glass being poured on junior clubs pitches and goals posts being cut down that went on in Kerry in the past, what actually happened, what clubs was involved and who did it or is suspected of doing it ??

Its urban myth at this stage and possibly arms and legs being added on (not saying it wasn't bad, obviously it aint ideal playing conditions) can someone give us an idea on what happened ??
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

It did happen. It occurred around the time of "the ban" (GAA) being at its height. Goalposts were cut down and glass spread around goalmouths by non foreign sport enthusiasts. I think it revolved around a senior kerry footballer changing codes to player for this soccer team concerned.
Who is this guy, Trapper Tony?

    Gordon Kerins...

Gordon is one of the greatest club players Tralee Dynamos has ever seen, and he highlighted this issue a few years ago. There are still alot of resentment towards foreign sports in Kerry however it isn't as bad as it used to be a few years ago!
