Longford take Chinese scalps

Longford Town continued their winning pre-season form with victory over Chinese first division side Shenyang Jinde in their training camp in Marbella this week.
Shenyang had held Longford’s Premier Division rivals Shelbourne to a draw last week, but the midlanders tool the win on a 2-1 scoreline.
Sean Prunty and Dessie Baker were the goalscorers for Longford as the Flancare Park side sealed a second pre-season win following their recent victory over neighbours Athlone Town.
The midlanders are back in action today (Saturday), when Norwegian side FC Kusnacht provide the opposition.

In their second pre-season game in Marbella, Longford Town drew 0-0 with Norwegian side FC Kusnacht. Longford enjoyed the better chances during the 90 minutes and should have found the net on at least three occasions in what was another good performance ahead of the start of this season's Premier Division campaign. The squad return to Ireland on Sunday ahead of their next pre-season game away to Dundalk in Oriel Park.
