UEFA / Champions League cup tied

Quickly, can anyone sette a bet. If someone played in the UEFA cup in season 2005-2006 they are not allowed play in Champions League in 2005-2006?

Question doesn't make sense Dodge. (to me that is)

Is it meant to be the other way around?

Some clubs enter the UEFA Cup having been eliminated from CL.

No, a player played with one club in the UEFA Cup, then transfered to a clun who are in the Champions League. Can he play? I need to be certain about this, so if anyone has any links?

Check out the answer to the 2nd last question in this link:

    http://www.uefa.com/Competitions/UCL...ert/index.html

The answer would appear to be Yes.

Article 15.07 states that “Excluding the first three rounds of the UEFA Intertoto Cup […] a player may not play UEFA club competition matches for more than one competing club in the course of the same season. A substitute player who is not fielded is entitled to play for another club competing in the same season’s UEFA club competitions, provided that he is registered with the UEFA Administration in accordance with the present Regulations”.

renovator, see gustavo's post. It is allowed. Cassano also played for Roma in the UEFA earlier this year but was on the bench for Real Madrid on Tuesday
