You're spot on there Super Frankie Lampard!

Jose's achievements, especially with Porto are nothing short of phenomenal. Leagues, Cups, Uefa Cup and the Champions League. The man is a different pedigree and there's every possibility he'll go on to become one of the all-time greats.

Special praise must also go to Arsene Wenger who transformed Arsenal football club in recent years. They may be hitting a bit of a slump at the moment but by God can't they play an attractive brand of football. It's fair to say Wenger founded Thierry Henry as he did Vieria and many more. Theo Walcott's preference to join Arsene's red army over Jose's brigade highlights the man's superiority when it comes to managing young players. Arsenal have one of the finest youth academys in Europe and much of this can be attributed to Wenger.

Last but by no means least comes the Moyesiah, one David Moyes who took cash stripped Everton from the brink of relegation to the dizzy heights of European football (even if it was short lived! ). Moyes' ability to get the most out of limited players is remarkable.

Ferguson, Allardyce, Curbishley, Wenger are the modern day best imo. Clough, Paisley, Shankley and Busby were all legends.

    Ferguson
    Paisley
    Busby

in that order are my top 3. Ferguson because he was under the most pressure, and succeeded. He had to re-build the most supported club in the world from scratch, and stamp his own authority on it, which he did.

Paisley was fantastic, but he was blessed with probably the greatest side the English game has ever seen. They made his job a pleasure, but he did it oh so well.

Busbys perseverence after coming so close with an amazing team that died, and winning the European Cup is hugely commendable.

Can I nominate Roddy Collins? Just to save him the bother of registering and doing so himself.

would he really have won the league if he had gronkjaer instead of robben , melchiot instead of ferraira and an ageing desailly instead of carvalho?

Johann Cryuff deserves a mention for winning four league titles in a row at Barca and their only European cup

Franz Beckenbauer also got to two world cup finals in a row and won the league at Bayern in his only season

Herbert Chapman is old school but won the league three times in a row with two different clubs, something nobody else has done

Good shout on Herbert Chapman although technically speaking I think he died following the first league title win in that 3 in a row sequence Arsenal had in the thirties however he did win two championships, a couple of FA cups and a handful of charity shields. it was undoubetedly the team he moulded that went onto win those titles.

I'm not a fan of these best of all time polls but Chapman would have to be high up there for what he achieved.

It is also worth noting that he was a very avergae player himself during his playing days highlighted by the fact that he even played for Tottenham!
