Just skipped over all the rubbish between the first post and my own.

Glad to hear that the Council backed the ground works.
Regardless of what everyone says, this ground will be good for the league.
If it's finished, it would mean a decent venue for cup games and Tolka would be a distant memory.

Looking forward to playing there as Champions when the ground officially opens.

    Not exactly what I meant.
Was referring to something Rico said to me about winning the league again and Rovers being promoted so that we can play them out in Tallaght.

Wasn't expecting that we'd perform the opening ceremony or anything.

I'm surprised at the reaction of Bohs fans.
I'd have expect that they would be glad to have Rovers situated so far away from themselves. It must be jealousy or else they're too cheap to stump up for the Luas fare out.

Cheers for the goodwill lads. And cheers to Bohsfan for the typographical information.

I sincerely hope that Bohs members stand up to Ollie and Delaney and win this battle. All rivalry aside, as fans we have to stick together over the governance of the game.

I don't share chippie's confidence re Dalymount but then again I wasn't at the Bohs AGM last night - my invite was lost in the post.

As I said last week, the Bohs members hold the aces here and a short-term, short-sighted decision could be suicidal. From what I'm hearing there are stirrings of revolution at Dalymount. Let's hope so. One hack described it as 400 club style agitation.

Hey WAR have you a referance on that hacks comments, I think I would like it for my scrap book.

    BTW
Well done to Rovers on completing the deal it's a victory for Irish football in the face of massive odds. Enjoy it - then team up with Pats to help them beat the system too.

Should some amazing unexpected rise in popularity of eL football take place will it always be possible to fill in all sides of the pitch with stands to bring capacity over the 6k? It's nice to see a modern stadium being built in Dublin with good facilities. I look forward to seeing it. Good luck with a speedy completion.

great news especially cos the Gah got told to f*ck off. can't wait for our 1st game there. hopefully the opening of the ground will coincide with the growth of our league and 6k attendances will be the norm in tallaght

I am as gald as anyone that Rovers will have a stand in Tallaght (read any of my other posts over the years). However 3000 seats is surely only a start. Given the experience of incomplete grounds in this country no guarantee it will ever be completed?

As already said 8m for 3000 seats is very expensive which is why the ground sharing issue has arisen.

BTW of turners cross when shed stand completed will be lot less than 2m - main stand cost £200k.

Bohs are more likely to be able to help us beat the sh1tstem than Rovers.

Delighted by the Hoops' news. Guess I'll have to change my sig elsewhere.

You just couldn't let it go (twice) could you?

Anyway, don't worry, we know we hold the aces and aren't going to be rushed into anything, that's for sure!
