    Yep, by 6 or 7 goals IIRC. He's on 22 I think.

Backed Ronaldo last time out @ 16/1 on his own then I doubled him as top scorer and Brazil to win it out at 40/1. Nice wad of cash after that one.

I dont fancy Adriano, too many goals going to be spread around that team for one guy to stick out.Crespo is playing pretty well these days @ 18/1.

Zurawski off Poland might be a good outside bet. 10 in his last 8 for Celtic including four goals today. A very crisp finisher.

i'd have to go for Luca Toni as well myself

the bookies are offering good odds on him because italy are usually low scoring, but they are managed by Lippi this time around, who is way more attacking minded than Trap, Zoff or Cesare Maldini were.

It's no urine extraction dodge, he puts them away. He has 12 goals in 13 starts and 2 sub appearances in the league and 15 goals in 17 appearances and 3 substitute appearances in total this season for Celtic. He scored 7 goals in 10 for Poland in their World Cup qualifying campaign and 2 in their last 2 friendlies. Oleg Salenko was top scorer in 1994 and he was not much use in Scotland. I did say as an outside bet.

what about Roy Makaay of Bayern Munich and Holland at an outsider for 50/1?? he's played at a lot of the grounds in Germany, and has scored plenty for Holland and was hot property at Deportivo?

Despite his record, he's hardly a regular starter for Holland, is he?

Was he the guy who scored 4 goals against Cameroon in a 5-1 win?? I think that'd explain that.

Most goals by a player in a finals match:
5 goals, by Russia's Oleg Salenko against Cameroon on 28/06/1994.

Well Germany has been most successful when they started with Podolski and Kuranyi up front, but as far as Klinsmann is concerned he wants to give everyone a go... I think their next friendly against the US will reveal some of his plans for the world cup including the choice for Germany's number 1 Lehmann or Kahn...(although Robert Enke from Hannover 96 is much better than both)

The problem is that the Italians will face tough opponents. No doubts about them winning or at least passing their group but I think they won't score many goals as will the Dutch in their respective group.

I do remember that Russia and Cameroon were in the same group as Brazil and Sweden so it must of been merely a consolation for Russia.

I've always found that strikers that have been out long term injured and come back before the championships usually do the trick.
Won with Ronaldo in 2002 and a packet on Baros in 2004

I'd go with Crespo because of the amount of chances Riquelme will create for him.
