Donna Cleary Murder / Suspect Dies in Garda Custody

This is not the first time recently that a suspect died in garda custody
I wonder if there is more to this than meets the eye or just a freak occurance. Discuss

All only speculation of course but i wouldn't be surprised if you were right.
Could be a Rossiter MarkII
One thing for sure is those gardai would have been under pressure and desperate to charge someone.
A lot of outrage flying around yesterday.
Mighthave gone too far.

Well the innocent victim was the girlfriend of a convicted murderer.. might be coincidental but who knows !

The "suspect" in custody was given access to medical treatment. The fact he was given metadone says a lot about his character.

I think all the Gardai need is an independent Garda Ombudsman. If its good enough for the PSNI its good enough for us. Would mean we would have quick investigations & no need to keep setting up separate enquiries for every case that arises.

Just as an aside there was an interview with a doctor from a Cork hospital on the LATE LATE on Friday night , who worked in Liverpool in a hospital for 10 years which dealt with a lot of drug users, and he says as Cocaine use increases there will be more and more brutal callous random murders taking place in Ireland.

coke use is out of controll as we speak in a year or so when about half the recreational users are addicks the level of voilent crime will rocket , where ever you find the most brutal crimes you ll find coke not far away ...columbia ... congo etc etc
