    Hi,

GUFC are wondering when it would be best to play the match on paddys weekend between our two clubs. (see thread link below) Can someone tell me, would there be much of a difference in the travelling support for limerick between the 3 days that are been considered?

    thanks

Is there a reason why the kick-off times of Limerick's home games this season has been moved forward to 7.30pm from 7.45pm?

I’ve enquired and I’ve been told it’s to facilitate possible sponsors. In other words if a pub, restaurant or hotel sponsored a match and the players weren’t arriving in said sponsors premises till after 11 it doesn’t look as though they appreciate the gesture of the sponsor. This year it is hoped that if a sponsor is named early in the week in the local media etc, where fans and players can mingle (and have a drink or ten) in the sponsors’ premises after the game etc. yes I think that if your coming from Galway or Finn Harps coming through Friday evening traffic on the north side of the city, trying to make a 7:30 start will be difficult.
