I'll admit i was unconvinced about Hunt when saw him in the Championship last year. He also did well in the B International & should definitely be in the squad ahead of Alan O'Brien who might get a starting place if picked for U21 squad.

You cant ignore the progress he's making at the moment. Getting better and better. Outstanding on Saturday and Coppell is getting everything out of him. Different kettle of fish with Duffer. Terrible manager, Shocking defence, the whole squad(bar Their Keeper) consistently underperforming... Newcastle are cursed. He's not gonna get back to half decent form there, He needs to get out. It was such a bad move, unfortunately.

Curses or jinxed. Can anyone think of a decent player who improved after joining Newcastle?

In the championship with Reading and before that at an OK level with Brentford. But wouldn't expect the "greatest fans in the world" to know anything about him

Who cares where he was before hand? He is a good player and a hard grafter. Pity we have not a few more like him and we would probably go some where. He should be in the squad full stop.Tell me one player on the current Irish team who is playing better than he is at present besides the obvious of course.

He's been whereever Steve Coppell has been. I think he's signed him three times now. Obviously saw something in him long before now.

Ronan O'Gara was interviewed yesterday and suggested that one of the reasons the top Irish rugby players are playing well is the increased pressure from other players looking for their place.

It would be no bad thing to drop Duff for a few games to show him (and the others) that no-ones place is guaranteed. It would be even better if we had a deep enough squad that for every player we had a replacement close to their level. That's the only way to keep players on their toes.

Simple question, can Hunt do a job in our next two games?
    Simple answer, yes!
Away to San Minnow and at home to Wales, I could do a job on them myself.

Perhaps if we tell de gaffer that he plays in England and has an Irish granny, he'll call him up. Well it's true, isn't it!

Disagree a bit. Club form should be a factor. But not the factor.
