quoth ryanair:

We greatly regret that Ryanair has no alternative, but to act as the UK Chancellor's tax collector and in accordance with Article 4.2.2 of Ryanair's General Conditions of Carriage, all affected passengers will be advised via email of the additional tax amount that will be automatically charged to the credit card or debit card used to pay for their original booking. These credit/debit card transactions will take place over the next 2 weeks .
also some typical michael o'leary stuff:
the UK Chancellor, Mr Gordon Brown MP, announced his decision to DOUBLE his ridiculous and anti-consumer "Air Passenger Duty". This tax grab which will generate £1bn. in tax revenues for the UK Government, but will do nothing for the environment.
Ryanair condemns the UK Chancellor's unfair and regressive tax on ordinary passengers
Ryanair's passengers - who enjoy the lowest average air fares in the UK - are paying the highest rate of tax (35%) while many of "Greedy Gordon's" friends and fellow politicians are still flying business class where this tax represents less than 5% of their air fare. This is just another example of politicians using the environment to grab further taxes from the travelling public.
and so forth
Just a little update on GT BUS. Was too busy at work today to surf the net. Davide has confirmed to me today that the GT BUS will depart at 12:30 at Rimini train station (central point) I will confirm all these details on a map shortly. He has also kindly confirmed that the bus will drop us off in San Marino so we can have a walkabout/pub crawl/view the tacky souvenir shops and shall pick us up again at 1900 and take us straight to the stadium. Our contact phone numbers will be PM'd to all the lead passengers in case someone happens to get lost in San Marino![]()
All final details will be posted here very soon and can be PM'd/emailed to anyone if they wish. Davide has been very helpful and very easy-going with all the arrangements, so it should be a great bus trip, details to follow.
Thanks to all those who have provided names, phone numbers etc. FYI, it is a 77 seater.
Ciao!![]()
Well done GTAt least we dont have to walk the 2 miles to ground. Fair play to Davide for getting the bus to pick us up again and take us to ground.

I know! I was chancing my arm asking would they do it, but fair play he said it was fine, maybe he didn't understand![]()

Anyone still thinking of going -yesterday you could still get a return flight from Shannon to Milan (bergano?) for 33 bucks incl taxes. No kidding. Flys out on wednesday morning 7.30 am leaving you 12 hours to make the 2-3 hour trip to SM. Comes back on the friday.
" I wish to God that someone would be able to block out the voices in my head for five minutes, the voices that scream, over and over again: "Why do they come to me to die?"
there still 37 euro flying from shannon to venice return too. its going to be as cheap as going to a home match staying above in dublin, considering the train is nearly 50 euro at this stage. accommodation is only 15 a night in the sunflower. ps parkville afc forever
