you don't have to fly

especially if there are a group of you going as you could probably hire a minibus for eight for two days and ferry it across for much much less. also, the ferry allows for great drinking etc. as does a minibus of course.
Superdave to the resc....

Can you wait til I finish my pint? Or else...

Anyone looking for budget accommodation other than Travelodge could try the recently opened Etap Hotel.

I've booked a room for £32 though i'll probably cancel it if the game kicks off at 3pm and i'm able to get up and down on the train in the one day from London.

Cardiff Sandringham Hotel ( 100170) , Cardiff ( Map )
21 St Mary Street, Cardiff, Glamorgan, United Kingdom, CF10 1PL.

Phone:029 2023 2161

Have booked this hotel for twin room for 2 nights for £280. Supposed to be next to Millenium Statium.

Flights with Aer Arann from Cork to Cardiff are now about €200.

As for tickets talked to two Welsh lads in Dublin before Welsh game and they said that home games they normally get 30-40,000 but for the Irish game it will be a sell-out.

You can get flights in and out of Dublin to Bristol on the day of the match with Ryanair now. Cost about €100 - leaves Dublin at 6.30am and back at 10.00pm at night. It's just a 40 minute train run from Bristol to Cardiff and plenty of time after the match (assuming it's a 3.00pm kick-off) to get from Cardiff back to Bristol to catch the flight home. Mighten be much good for people based way outside Dublin, but for anyone in Dublin it's a handy enough run.

Remember that the train fare from Birmingham, or indeed London etc, will be very high unless you book in advance. Bristol is not that expensive though. You could probably get from Bristol to the Millenium stadium using public transport in 2 hours.

According to the websites. Its a 40 min journey from Bristol train station to Cardiff Train Station which is right beside the Millenium stadium. The Birmingham train takes hours. There will be 6 of us. Do they do any group rates or anything like that

I'm pretty sure they only offer discounts for groups of 10 or over.
