    Limerick in training

Does anyone (gael perhaps?) have any news on when the squad, and I use that term loosely, get back to training? Yep this post was that short and sweat

Apparently the start date has been pushed back to some time around the 24th. Although the players are doing a bit themselves in the gym.

Strange considering Limerick are hosting Shels on the 28th of January. See http://www.shelbournefc.ie/fixtures.php?seasonid=107

Just saying what I heard from the players. They are still not back training as a squad. And as far as I know there are no arrangements for them to train this week. So maybe the manager feels that the players are fit enough and next week will be sufficient to return training.

Sorry, I meant it was strange from the club's perspective. But when you think about it, it isn't really strange at all.

Ya it is strange. Having agreed a friendly for this date and the squad are still not training together. If the team go back next week that will give em 2 weeks training before their first friendly. Not really good preperation for the coming season.

Finny has college every Tuesday and Thursday evening so that is why he is not training with the squad

Robbie should think as well about what is in his own interest. He signed a contract afaik and has ayear to run on it. If he refuses to play he can kick his heels for a year - that would do his career prospects a lot of good. Or if he plays he is back in the shop window for a season and can move on if he wants to next season. He could be cutting off his nose to spite his face if he doesn't play.
