Does anyone (gael perhaps?) have any news on when the squad, and I use that term loosely, get back to training? Yep this post was that short and sweat

Strange considering Limerick are hosting Shels on the 28th of January. See http://www.shelbournefc.ie/fixtures.php?seasonid=107Originally Posted by gaidin

Just saying what I heard from the players. They are still not back training as a squad. And as far as I know there are no arrangements for them to train this week. So maybe the manager feels that the players are fit enough and next week will be sufficient to return training.Strange considering Limerick are hosting Shels on the 28th of January. Sorry, I meant it was strange from the club's perspective. But when you think about it, it isn't really strange at all.Originally Posted by gaidin

Ya it is strange. Having agreed a friendly for this date and the squad are still not training together. If the team go back next week that will give em 2 weeks training before their first friendly. Not really good preperation for the coming season.Sorry, I meant it was strange from the club's perspective. But when you think about it, it isn't really strange at all.
word is that they dont see much ball in training anyway so the match will be good for them
Apparently they don't see much of their keys either.Originally Posted by see's it

they were training down on the back pitches in UL last night. no sign of Finny there??only about 12 at the session including 2 goalkeepers.wasn't much interest there at all.

apparently robbie is training with summerville at the moment just to keep in shape..doesnt look like he'll be returning unless DD & NOC can get their act together and persuade him otherwise
Finny has college every Tuesday and Thursday evening so that is why he is not training with the squad
Robbie should think as well about what is in his own interest. He signed a contract afaik and has ayear to run on it. If he refuses to play he can kick his heels for a year - that would do his career prospects a lot of good. Or if he plays he is back in the shop window for a season and can move on if he wants to next season. He could be cutting off his nose to spite his face if he doesn't play.Originally Posted by george

he should wear a t-shirt with "i hate noel and danny" on it under his jersey and show it off every time he scores
NOC had those struggling with fitness and sharpness in for a session yesterday at the university.they included finny, buckley and mccarthy..about 7 or 8 participated.
