Hard to see where the goals are gonna come from with that line-up. Could be a long season..... But then again maybe Shane Barrett will awake from his coma and strike up a partnership with Mooney!!! A goalscoring partnership, smartarse..........

Tis true, although I thought Barrett did o.k last night, not as bad as previous games.

what was gas at the game was the chanting in the stand from the athlone fans. they brought up a fifty seater up. the banter between section o and athlone was something else!

anyone know the last sub that came on darren hannify-anyone know who he is?

btw white shorts suit the new jersey very well!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Hate white shorts but they were ok last night. As for the banter between the 2, not meaning to cause any offence to section o but you were very quiet compared to athlone fans in the stand who have to be complimented by the way

We were very disappointed with the lack of noise from the LTFC fans.
At least the "Section O" brigade were trying and got a bit of banter
going but the rest were pathetic.

The thing that annoyed us most was when we started up the chant
"Stand Up For Shane Brennan". We could see over the far side that the fans
we're standing but nobody in the main stand, apart from us, even bothered.
It was like they didnt have a clue what it was all about.

Still though, all in all despite the result we had a great time there and hopefully
the Cup will be an annual pre-season event.

Wasn't a great game it has to be said.Neither side looked like they're gonna set the league alight. One concern is the goalkeeping area.Mick isn't a bad shot stopper but he dosen't command his box and that worries me.On a good note,Andy Myler looks much fitter than last season so hopefully he can strike up a partnership with Dave Mooney and we can score more goals than usual.Deano bossed midfield aswell which bodes well for the future.

Well done on a fitting tribute to Shane. Two of Monaghan Uniteds biggest fans were there and had a lovely day thanks to the Brennan family. I wish could have been there.

Well done to the scumlone fans the other night, things dont look to good when athlone have a more passionate, loud and colourful supporters group then us.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Why wouldnt we have more passionate, loud and colourful supporters?
We've been around a heck of a lot longer than Longford and we're still
    the midlands most successful club

Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........

After the great result against Milan we decided to preserve the stadium in the exact same state
    as a lasting reminder

exactly ash my sentiments- nice to see section o being recognised by the oppostion! always a problem with atmosphere here never changes frustringly consistent-thought the rest of da stand would have joined in one shane brennan-oh well their loss....
