    What does the future hold for us?

    With the vote that took place on Saturday in Limerick on the FAI taking over the league next season and the alledged restructure that is going to take place what do people thins the future holds for the midlands most successful club?

    As far as I can make out the vote was just to agree that the League needs
    restructuring. There are to be more meetings and votes in the future to iron
    out criteria etc. Having a fantastic looking stadium on the way wont hurt our
    chances.

    Actually was anyone watching the news last night where they interviewed
    Tom Burke and had a few shots around the Staduim. Still looking for a main
    stadium sponsor so looks like the Golden Island deal wont be transferred to
    the new ground.

    The Golden Island deal has expired. We will be playing our games in Saint Mel's Park this season at 7:30pm on Saturday nights!

    Congrats to everyone at Athlone

    saw the news last night and was well impressed by what i saw.Pity some of the knockers from other clubs wouldnt praise a club when they are moving in the right direction.keep up the good work and good luck this season except of course when ye play us.
