the stand looks great, hope rovers make an appearance there next year in one of the cups. Does the stadium have a name I might suggest 'Padraig Moran (legend) Park'

Unfortunately Paugie is no longer with Club,
conflicting stories over the reason and departure

I can't find updated pics of the new stand anywhere. The website only has old ones in the New Stand section, a tiny one on the front page, and there are no links to any on the forum. It's driving me mad. Where is everyone else seeing them!?!

If Rovers start havin a tought season I might be buying an Athlone Town jersey with Rovers Reserves printed on the back and start shouting for ye.

what is the capacity of the stand? Are there terraces surounding the rest of the pitch?

Main stand will hold 2,000
No terrracing a.f.a.i.k.

Also a.f.a.i.k the stand on the far wing will hold 1,500 and there will
be 1,250 seater stands behind each goal. (eventually)

The stadium plans are a credit to you wel done,question though is the figure of 4 milion to finish the development still about right, or will the projected cost be a lot higher.

I would say that is about right. This phase was the biggest part of the development with all the facilities included in it. The rest is just covering in the other three sides of the pitch with stands

Not as far as I know.

The Stadium Committee are looking for new blood to come on board
for the other phases

The stand looks fantastic! After the last game in St. Mels I can't wait to come up to Athlone this season and visit the new ground. No drinking until 05.30 this time though...
