Manchester United legend Roy Keane is ready to turn his back on a proposed testimonial at Old Trafford, according to a morning newspaper report.
Keane, who parted company with United in November after more than 12 years of unprecedented success for the club, had been expected to make one final farewell appearance in a testimonial game later this year.
However, the Irish Sun reports that the Cork man is considering rebuffing an offer for a money-spinning farewell game, which could bring in more than £2m.
The former Irish captain picked up a hamstring injury last week and faces a race against time to be fit for his first Old Firm clash against Rangers on February 12th.
