Assuming this isn't the lead up to a bad joke...
I'd say there's animals that spend their whole lives in pitch dark caves that have evolved without eyes. I don't know any specific examples though.

We're not arrogant, we're just better.
no its no joke , im trying to think of one , was thinking about evolution and how animals that developed eyes where better at hunting avoiding danger etc so the ones with out eyes died out , but i was wondering did any species survive .there is allways an exception .
i know ive way too much time on my hands![]()
Some salamanders that live in dark caves and certain fish that live near deep Ocean beds have no eyes! This is because they do not need eyes, since in light never ever reaches them! Some of them have rudimentary eyes with permanently closed eyelids over them, while in some the eyes are totally absent.![]()
They still had eyes though.Originally Posted by The Stars

FAI officials?
Or is that just that they can't see where they're leading the league?
we know about the fish allright , im trying to think of land living animals out in the sunshine ,that survived with out eyes .
aparently etes are mutated light sensitive brain cells that evolved into eyes , so surely if this is the case there would be evidence of animal with no eyes
good thinking out of you ,ill be able to sleep tonight !Originally Posted by Block G Raptor

But seriously, this is one of the most bizarre questions ever on a football forum -- yet, as no one will know an easy answer and no one wants to admit he doesn't know, it's fascinating to stay thinking until I found one![]()
whatever they're called, the flesh-eating species in the film "The decent" were completely blind and physically adapted to eternal darkness(still ****ed cause Nora-Jane Noone kept her clothing on in this film though)
I think that there are certain breeds of bats that are genuinely blind. Most bats have poor eyesight anyway but there are one or two bat species that are fully blind. Saw something about them on one of those Animal Planet channels a good while ago.
A Fly?
Is that an animal?
Incidentally flly is a good word for Hangman.
Noone gets it in time.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.
