    McFall anger at dithering Hammi

No nonsense Portadown boss Ronnie McFall today insists the Shamrock Park club had no option but to withdraw their contract offer to striker Gary Hamilton.

McFall revealed this morning that he has been outraged at the Northern Ireland international's behaviour since a new deal was offered to the 24-year-old hitman in November.

Ports ace Hamilton set to move on

Portadown have withdrawn a contract offer to striker Gary Hamilton. The Northern Ireland forward has spent five years at the Shamrock Park club but is set to move on after a new deal was taken off the table on Saturday. "I have enjoyed every minute of my time at Portadown. It is disappointing, but it looks like I will have to move on.

"Two other Irish League clubs and two from the Eircom League have shown an interest in signing me," said Hamilton, when contacted by BBC Sport on Monday. Portadown manager Ronnie McFall insists the player will not leave before the end of the season.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

McFall blasted: "It would be good if Gary would turn up on a few occasions!"

"But Gary is under contract until the end of the season so he will not be going anywhere."

That doesn't look good for Mister Hamilton, would it be fair to say he is acting the complete príck over all of this ??

"The Derry fans were fantastic in both matches. They sang their hearts out all the time and created an even better atmosphere than the Cup Final. They were brilliant. - David Graham, Gretna striker

    Hamilton faces Ports exit

Northern Ireland international striker Gary Hamilton looks destined to leave Portadown after the Shamrock Park club opted to withdraw their contract offer this week.

Hamilton, the Setanta Cup’s top scorer last season with three goals, has failed to give a decision to the club in the two months since he was first offered the new deal.
