    Portsmouth sign Kiely

As he's retired I presume this belongs here rather than under Ireland.
That's a really good buy for Portsmouth, Charlton may regret that.

I do not understand why Charlton have not played Kiely more this season the guy is a class keeper and has been for ages.

He was in goal when they were getting drubbed and not doing too well. He got dropped as a consequence. Not sure the Deano of this season is the same as the Deano of two years back. In his prime I preferred him to Given
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

I think Arsenal should have bought Kiely after Seaman retired. He got injured and missed the first half of this season. He had a total 'mare of a game up at Wigan.

Noelys Guitar pointed out elsewhere that we could do with him back in the squad. I wonder would he reconsider. He was a pundit on BBC for the game in Paris & he said he'd been in touch with the squad all week in the build up. Shows he still cares anyway.
