Ref Boyle right in the thick of it
Scottish referee Chris Boyle insisted that his decision to award Linfield the penalty that won them the game against Coleraine on Saturday was 100% right. The Glasgow official took charge of the Showgrounds clash as part of a referee exchange programme between the Irish FA and their Scottish counterparts.
After controlling what was probably league leaders Linfield's hardest game of the season, Boyle backed the initiative and said that he would welcome the opportunity to referee in the Carnegie Premier League again.
