Rovers kick off pre-season campaign
Shamrock Rovers will play the first game of their pre-season friendly programme, and their first under new manager Pat Scully, when they take on the Institute of Technology, Tallaght (ITT) at the Iveagh Grounds in Crumlin, Dublin this evening (Wednesday).
Scully, who spent one season in charge of Kilkenny City, took over from deposed former boss Roddy Collins before Christmas. And he will give Hoops debuts to several of his winter signings this evening, including some or all of four players signed from Kilkenny: David Cassidy, Paul Connaughton, John McGuinness and new Rovers skipper Aidan Price.
