*pedantry* Shouldn't this be entitled 'Friendly' as there's only one?

I was hoping we'd be playing a more local First Division side like that team that hope to play in Tallaght, I think they're called Shamrock Rovers?

The prospect of a season without playing Rovers is more attractive I'd say.

Spoiling two of Schumi's posts at once, we're playing Rovers on Satruday 4th March (or whatever date the Saturday is) in Belfield at 2:30.

So, less than 3 weeks until we're on the field again. Though does Belfield Park mean the stadium or some pitch with more tilt than a pinball machine?

The Monaghan game will be on the pitch by Foster's Avenue I'd imagine (the tilted pitch has been mostly built on you might remember). Rovers might bring a few with them so that might be in Belfield Park proper maybe.

Em.... I know everyone noticed the dates of the two away games.
can the club bring one of them big double decker buses, for the amount of squad members we'll have on the trip?
It will be one trip. right?

Aw! Start the season as you mean to go on.

Let the squad get used to the good life, with the use of some off-season facilities.

Your friendly against us: is it going to be on a proper pitch or that cabbage patch we played on last year? I ask this because not having a go but because I and one or two others don't want to travel and then find it is on a poor pitch.

That particular cabbage patch is now a building site.

Oh ok, thanks, but will the game be on the Belfield pitch or an outside pitch, and if so will the pitch be of ok quality? Don't want another journey for a game that turns out to be a waste of time.
