Table quiz in the Centre Bar Thursday 26th

GUST will be holding a series of table quizzes in the coming weeks as part of our committment to funding the clubs training camp in the UK. Our total financial contribution to GUFC for January and February alone will be E11,000.

Our first table quiz will be in the Centre Bar (formerly Kates), Galway Shopping Centre on Thursday week, 26th January at 8.30pm sharp. Entry fee is E30 for a table of four. Your support is needed.

    First prize

will be four tickets for the upcoming friendly between Ireland and Sweden at Landsdowne Road (March 1st).

GUST need your support, we are undertaking a huge fundraising venture at the present time. Spot prizes on the night would also be welcome.

    PD.

It was a good night's craic. Nick Leeson won virtually all the spot prizes though. There was a good few tables, a bunch of lottos sold and a minimum of heckling from the floor.

    David Holland

from College Road and his team were the winners. Well done to David, who is a season ticket holder and always supports our fundraising ventures.

Tommy Shields team came second. Nick Leesons name may have come out of the hat several times, but it was one spot prize per person. 75 lotto tickets were sold on the night.

Our next quiz is on in the Glenoaks Hotel, Rahoon on Tuesday week, 7th February at 8.30pm sharp. It would be good to see more United supporters and players at these events, normally 80% + of those who attend have no connection with the club.

Thanks to those who helped out, donated prizes and came with teams.

    PD.
