What is the story with your username on Foot.ie?

anybody any stories relating to how they got their foot.ie
name.
mine is a bit boring.i hear the expression 12 th man most sunday mornings and i suppose 12 apostles and 12 jury members.
with some of the excellent names some people have on this site ,there has got to be some good stories out there.

No funny stories, but the Undertones were nicknamed the Paddy Ramones by the music press. I like the Undertones, so I picked Paddy Ramone which is a good name for an Irish punk.

Mine's a bit odd, I was (and still am) fairly handy at Tekken on Playstation. I held the record in CVG (Computer and Video Games mag) for consecutive victories in Tekken 2 for 2 months. Anyway, in Japan a video game championship is held where the best of the best play off against each other. The title "Tetsujin" (it means Iron Man) is given to a player who wins at least 90 of 100 fights in a row, without food, water or breaks. So I took it

I tried to create a hotmail account before with tetsujin, but it was already registered, so I added 1979 (the year I was born) and 5 years later I still use it as my username in pretty much everything.

well mine is so self-explaining that i wont relate it (also very dull really).

When I was about 17 I decided to set up a hotmail account, tried about 2 and a half million different combinations with no joy and decided to go with something that nobody else ever would - sadloserkid.

It's supposed to be a statement of irony and not the usual teen angst bs too.

It's since been *******ised into slk and when I'm really too old to use sadloserkid on a full time basis (I'm 23 tomorrow) then I'll probably adopt slk on a full-time basis.

Besides the fact the Undertones were nicknamed the Paddy Ramones, Paul McCartney used sign into hotels using the alias Paul Ramone. So Ramone is a good name to use an alias.

Paul McCartney was Dee Dee's favourite Beatle, which is how the Ramones got their name. I think if an Irishman had ever joined the Ramones he would have been called Paddy Ramone.

Mine was just my initials plus cfc becuase soc was registered on most sites.

Then recent I got a cyber-circumcision so just plain old S�C again.

I became so sick of being called a "plastic" that I decided if I couldn't beat them, I'd join 'em. So, just like Black people who refer to each other as "n�gga" or gay people who refer to each other as "queer", I decided to reclaim the "plastic" sobriquet for myself. So there you go.

When i first went onto RedBoys MB ... i used "A Face In The Crowd" which was the title of a good article on the eircom League in the Times i think. Thats it !!
