Sligo Rovers
The best season at The Showgrounds in years saw the First Division title deservedly claimed. It's hard to say how well they will fare with the big boys until we see them in action but going on their FAI Cup showings against St Pat's and Cork, they may surprise many.
Sean Connor has proven himself to be a shrewd and talented manager after delivering Premier Division football a year earlier than forecast.
Chris Turner and Keith Foy are two interesting additions to the panel while most of the side that gained promotion have agreed new deals. Those include popular names like Flannery, McTiernan, O'Grady, Feeney and Kudozovic.
Rovers enjoyed a huge upsurge in attendances towards the end of the last campaign and that should continue into the Premier Division. They will also bring a sizeable following to away fixtures.
Presumably the TV cameras will visit Sligo regularly this season so hopefully they will be re-housed on the older Jinks' Avenue side of the ground to show off the fine new stand that adorns the Treacy Avenue end.

The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.
Muhammad Ali
Roy Keane is still a pri*k!
fairly spot on apart from the "huge upsurge" bit. hopefully the camera is the far side next year
"Even if the sun ceases to rise, Even if the sea ceases to flow, Even if the wind stops to blow, The name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like the morning, glinting star in the sky."
