You left out the one that bumped the thread, Funston v Waterford 14 seconds.

How right you are! And the info is complete in that instance, too!!

Time of the goal depends on what kick off your counting from
I think it should be timed from the real KO (2nd), and footnoted. I won't update the list again for a bit to see if we can get any of the missing details.

Crowe at Bray v Bohs in 2001 seems to be a myth (maybe confused with the Belfield one?) as Bohs failed to score in the Carlisle in that calendar year. The previous year, Webb was their only scorer at that venue (17/12/00, 47mins, pen) and though Crowe scored by the seaside in 2002 it was a 76th min effort on 22/03/02.
I retimed the Hutton goal a few times from the video, it seemed to be just over 9 seconds. I got 9.38 with my best effort. Any improved offers?
A contemporary newspaper report gave a more precise timing for Crowe at UCD v Bohs. Any objections?
So unless someone can verify that Monaghan goal in Oriel with a little more detail we're left with
Barry Ryan K'kenny 7 Kilkenny v Limerick 1991/2

Can't go without mentioning this one!
Same night as Alan McLoughlin's goal in Belfast, and still the fastest World Cup goal ever at 8.3 seconds.
Bohs scored two goals in 27 seconds against us in 2010, which has to be a record, or close to it.
Glen Crowe's goal against us was on Raiders of the Lost Archives at one stage if anyone knows where they are now.
Cobh scoring against Shels here at 9 seconds in 2007. Own goal by Brian Gartland.
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians
Philly Gorman after 12 seconds for Shels vs UCD in 2012

Barry Ryan's was for Limerick, not kilkenny - goal was the first (obviously) in a 2-0 win at Buckley park. I cannot tell you the date - is there anywhere that has a complete list of all games and dates for LOI history?

Sure I saw Athlone scoring against Dundalk after 10-15 seconds in the 1980s. Alan O'Neill in goal.
Another side-record which may be worth recording - here's Galway v UCD from 2007. Galway got a penalty after 7 seconds, but after 78 seconds, the score was 1-1.
Bray scored after 8 seconds this evening.
I checked LOI TV there with a stopwatch it was 10 seconds

Isnt it formally the 4th officials time? Just out of interest as was said before, not saying that it is, or that they would get things right.
From the Irish Examiner's match report btw -
"A little piece of soccer history was made at Buckley Park, Kilkenny, yesterday when First Division leaders Limerick scored a goal in record time. The player to write himself into the record books was Limerick's Barry Ryan, who availed of a Kilkenny error after only seven seconds to chip home goalkeeper Gary Matthews from 20 yards"
Looks like he still has the record today in that case.
