I remember reading an interview where Staunton said that Alan Hansen made him cry on a number of occasions when he first joined Liverpool. Apparently Hansen regularly tormented youngsters who were new to the job and lacking in confidence. What I'm saying is that the FAI should have appointed Hansen as mentor/advisor - "That's absolutely terrible management, Stan. You have to say you'll be very disappointed with that sh!te." Even if it didn't work it would make for some excellent press conferences!![]()
