germans looking weak at the back ireland missed a lot of chances in first half

2-2 in the end. Ireland threw it away. Goodwin sent off stupidly , lots of missed chances...a poor tournament for Ireland.

Germans got the equaliser when Liam Miller (I think) handled the ball for absolutely no reason when under no pressure whatsoever inside the box. An absolutely crazy way to give the game away. Ireland played very well for most of the game but yet again didn't get the breaks. To be honest, I think there must be a rule at this years Toulon tournament that says that ireland are banned from winning any games no matter how well they play and if they should take the lead they must give up at least two goals because of some defensive blunder or other. Thank god that tournament is over now, it was painful to watch at times.
