Yip, saw them in '87 they were brilliant one of the best gigs I've seen, Kirsty McColl was excellent as well. Wouldn't mind the old bill haven't seen many of them in Brixton in years!!!

saw shane with the popes 2 yrs ago, was very late and very ****ed by the time he came on. great gig though, he stubbed a cigarrette out in one willing punter's palm- must be my favorite rock n' roll moment!

I got given 6 free tickets to see them last year. was superb. couldnt understand a word he said when he was talking, but as soon as he was singing, he was class. added bonus was getting one over on a tout by giving a way a spare to a fella who was about to pay the tout £50 for it.

Hope they are as good as last year.

Sold a ticket for a £10 to a tout just after 8pm couldn't be bothered waiting about, also seemed to be alot of tickets floating about..

The Academy was packed couldn't make out a word he was saying early on but later he really warmed up(or the drink kicked in) and turned out to an excellent gig...

All this new technology there were two machines above the stage blasting it out for 3/4 minutes. I remember at the last Pogues gig in '87 there was some one perched precariously above stage manning a spotlight and chucking down artifical snow...

Am going tomorrow to see them, hope it does not turn out like the Wembley arena gig in 88, which was almost a riot.
Its crazy to see people be what society wants them to be but not me.
