I think people underestimate his pace. He's not lightning fast by any means but he certainly ain't no slouch. Plus, his touch and skill give him a few yards on any defender.
The sports team from my area is superior to the sports team from your area.

The Irish team is not the top level. Fourth from top level if our seedings are to be believed. Wes should already have 10 or so caps if our manager wasn't too stupid to pick him and instead favoured any old idiot in his place so long as they played in England.

The fee is a joke but it is just speculation, the truth is he only had a year in his contract so our hands were somewhat tied. Still, it's an awful move for him personally.

    Good news on Jason

I'd stay Wes went for a bit more than 100,000. If I was to say speculate a little.

Pounds or Euro? Seems Byrne is staying so. Good to see a top eL player staying put.

Delighted, but I'm still gutted over Hoolahan. Still, some good news.

And great to see the player himself turn the move down, brilliant to see.

What percentage will Belvedere get from this transfer??

Do schoolboy clubs get 10% of the total transfer fee? Could someone please fill me in because it's been doing my head in the past number of days!!

Here's a bit more insight from Hoolahan on his move. It starts off with him talking about Keane but he talks a little about the move further down. He said playing under Paul Lambert was a motivating factor for him.

Hoolahan became aware of Livi's interest four weeks ago and the prospect of lining up against his boyhood heroes was too much to turn down, even though Shelbourne boss Pat Fenlon reckons his side are better than Livi and that his former player is taking a step backwards by quitting Irish football for life in the SPL.
Interesting to see scots print that.

In this article Weso states - "The fact that Shelbourne are not in the Champions League was maybe something". In other words he may have stayed if we did win the league!!

    http://www.sportinglife.com/football...otspremiership

And in this article Weso states - "They are playing in the Intertoto Cup this season but even if they had the chance to play in the Champions League I wouldn't have stayed".

    Very contrasting quotes indeed!

He seems he only moved to Livi just to play against the Old Firm. He's thinking way ahead of himself - he is hoping he will get spotted. If he doesn't get spotted then he is off to division one. Terrible terrible move Weso!!!

You make it sound like having a desire to play at arenas like Ibrox and Celtic Park is something to be ashamed of. He clearly enjoyed the experience at the Riazor and would like to do something of the sort again. It's no harm to have the confidence to display yourself on the big stage. Also given that he knows Lambert he knows that he was a very cultured and intelligent midfielder who won the European Cup and can teach him a lot about his game.

Sorry for repeating myself but Lambert sees him as a winger, outdide left, whatever you want to call it. He's not quick enough!!

I agree but maybe will be easier in the SPL

IMO Fenlon sold him as didn't see him as winger & could not find place for him in the centre.
