still waiting Danny/Willie john![]()
Could it be possible for our chairman aka willie john to open a new thread on whats happening with our club and clear up a few questions.1)What really happened with robbies trial to reading,2)who has signed for the coming year, plus u/21s,3)has noc got your full backing or visa versa,4)whats the story with the lease on hogan park.
Im sure their are many more questions from other fans, maybe an open meeting might be worth a thought. We are reading about different clubs signing different players, but not a mention of limerick signing anyone.I know we made great strides last year but im worried about the coming year, imo we were not ready to challange for promotion last year, but i hope we will be their in the near future.
Danny/willie john could you please try and answer some of the above![]()

I think you'll be waiting a long time.
Do you seriously think a chairman of a football club would go on an internet forum and discuss the internal dealings of the club? If he did it would be the best reason for him to go because it would show incredible lack of judgement. No chairman of any club anywhere would do that.
The club doesn't have an official website which is a big downside. Sucha website could provide information - one is badly needed. Though the nature of these things is that such a site would be mostly for propaganda.![]()

Lfc IN Exile: To be fair to the original poster - it has happened that he has come on here a number of times to act up. That siad I will agree that I doubt he would show up to add anything useful...![]()

I don't believe this forum is the place for club officials to discuss club matters. WillieJohn came on and stirred it up here with some infantile posts but that's a completely different matter.
Dutchie's original idea of a meeting is a good one -but I suppose the best way to do that is to have a meeting between the Sc and the FC.

Fair enough, not a bad idea at all in an ideal world, problem is if we go into a meeting with the club they can (and no doubt will) argue with some justification that many of our grievances (clubs financial state, team selection etc.) are absolutely none of our business.Originally Posted by LFC in Exile
Fail to see what it would achieve.
Also, unfortunately, (not beeatching here just pointing out fact) the supporters club is not a very powerful group at all at the mo. For all the friction and foaming at the mouth on here, fact is, if we called an SC meeting for this night week 6 people would turn up tops![]()
You are right on both counts. And on the first one I think the club would be right to take that view. I have been saying it for a while. But then I am a sycophant after all.Originally Posted by Lim till i die

I'm confused because when Willie John a.k.a. Danny Drew in his capacity as chairman started posting here how does that situation differ from another club official posting on foot.ie?Originally by LFC In Exile

BTW I don't think your a sycophant but more a daydream believer similiar to Kevin Costner in 'field of dreams', of course he didn't have to contend with Noel 'Damien' O'Connor![]()
Limerick 37, its so shiny and new we dare not take the cover off.
WJ came on and made silly comments after the club and management were criticised. I think there is a difference between that type of posting (infantile and all as it is) and discussing how the club is run on this forum. The best thing would of course for DD not to post on here at all - it is a fan's forum and while he is undoubtedly a fan he can't divorce that from his position with the FC.Originally Posted by Nempton
Wrt the Field of Dreams thing - strangely I do think for football in Limerick if we did build it (a 7,000 seater stadium at Hogan Park and a competitive team) they would come.
Abd btw - Kevin Costner's character was right in the end.....And the naysayers?....

Just to point out that WJ/DD was posting on foot.ie before last season trying to influence the fans that NOC was the man to save Limerick and we should get rid of Mike Kerley when at the time we were unaware of WJ's true identity.
I agree that DD should stay away from here and would be far better off dealing with the supporters club on a regular basis, provided they don't have to submit questions on paper to him first though.
Like I said already Kevin Costner didn't have to contend with NOC otherwise I think it would have been the most scariest horror film ever madeWrt the Field of Dreams thing - strangely I do think for football in Limerick if we did build it (a 7,000 seater stadium at Hogan Park and a competitive team) they would come.
