    Charity match, this Sunday

    The Sligo Astra League are staging two matches on Sunday next to raise funds for the Special Olympics athletes at Cregg House

    A Division One selection will play a Division Two team in the first match at 4pm while two teams of ex Sligo Rovers players will play each other in the second game at 5pm.

    An after match reception will take place in Fiddlers Creek

    The managers of the Division One team are Anthony Skeffington and James Melvin while Mickey Dineen and Clive Kivelehan will be in charge of the Division Two team.

    The ex-Sligo Rovers squad is: Gavin Dykes, Johnny Kenny, Ian Lynch, Eamonn Devins, Mick Savage, Harry McLoughlin, Gus Gilligan, John Sweeney, Enda Scanlon, John Joe Reilly, Mark Rooney, Damien Lynch, Vinny Harte, Glen Young, Michael Roney, Mark Hutchison, Nicky Broujos, Nigel O’Connell, Cal Callaghan, Noel Kennedy, John Kent and Fergal Harrison.

    Guest players include Martin McDonnell, Vinny McGee, Paul McGee, Philip Gallagher, Conor O’Grady, Gerry Carr, Ian Rossiter, Paul Fielding, Sean Flannery and Niall Harrison.

    No idea Merville. That article was in the Champion but their was nothing in it the following week so I haven't a clue how it ended up.
