    Quality! Never heard that one!

    When I was in secondary school, they told all the fifth and sixth years to put their names on stickers on their lockers. Remarkably stupid thing to do!! Remember reading through the names until I saw "Mike Hunt" and thought "That isn't funny" until I spoke it instead of read it!

    The ref who refereed the 1994 World Cup Final was Philip Don - or P Don, as he came up on the graphics.

    [QUOTE=sirhamish]Many choose a Saint's name as a Christian name.

    I like your thinking there now Hamish, I think there should be more kids named after saints , seeing I have had too go through life with a mad latin name and it never done me any harm. But then again I suppose that it's proberly not a bad thing in the new Ireland of today that people don't feel that they have too name their kids after saints and family members, and are now able too name their kids after people who are playing a major role in our day to day life like porn stars or Britney Spears.
    Its crazy to see people be what society wants them to be but not me.

    LOL sylvo - I'm the one who's usually blamed for having porn stars as a major role in my life I'd re-phrase that if I was you or, like me, you're gonna get crucified.

    Back in the 70s it was amazing the number of parents who christened their kid Elton or after some musical star. I mean, I know of Elton Coyne, Elton O'Reilly, Elton McGrath. Doesn't quite ring does it?

    People should also be careful too, I used to teach a student called Breeda Rabbitt. I know of at least two other Breda Rabbits in Galway. What were parents thinking when they named those kids. LOL

    Happy Christmas sylvo
