Ah balls!!!!
So when does the next season start? And when exactly do players gain or lose skill?
Going to be very hard to stop Cobh next year, considering their incredible form since the new man came in!

Welcome Quay Celtic F.C,
Yep, done at 5am two days after the last fixtures in all leagues.
Ours was..ok. Took a big hit with the injuries and suspensions and draws/defeats at the end. 9 visible though. Disappointed with Babayaro and Bursic not increasing, but happy with Gyllensten and Dolan. And Breen still refuses to increase.

What's the story with boostings?
What are they? And are they needed?

Boostings - Increased skill bars?
Yes they are critical and are based on the average form of the players through the season, below 10 skill decreases, above 10 increases. Average form of at least 14 should get an increased bar.
Really good Change Reports are 13-15 visible increases - a 23 year old 6 skill bar player becomes a 24 year old 7 skill bar. A couple of seasons of that sort of change report and a side in mid-table in the lowest division would quickly find themselves in the top division.

I thought there was a fuss about boostings before the last season. Doesn't the league admin have to add them in for promoted sides?

I think that's boosting the skill of the new teams so they end up with the average skill of the existing teams. It doesn't really seem necessary with the 3 divisions as it gave the new teams a chance to bed in naturally.

Ah, they're two different things.
Promoted sides are left to fight for themselves and relegated sides too - which is why some sides are yo-yo clubs too good for one league and not good enough for the next level up. Boostings are generally where a team has been manager-less or inactive for a long time missing Change Reports and then a new manager comes in.
In order to make that team at least competitive for the new manager, they can be boosted to the average skill level of that league by the admin.

Just wondering- is it potentially a bad idea to accept friendlies against teams from higher divisions? Won't the inevitable hammerings just wreck a lot of players form?

There's been 2 new teams since the season ended, I've boosted them as they're going to be going into Division 2 and all the other teams there have been around for a season now. Should I boost any others?
There's 31 teams now, so to make things even I think I'll de-activate the manager who's been inactive the longest length of time, which is thischarmingman. Then I'll create a new season with 3 divisions of 10, 3 up and 3 down playing twice a week, same as this season then. That ok with everyone?
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Sounds good to me.

The form is affected by the performance in the games and in some aspect the results of the game. There are a lot of factors involved but to be general you can take this as a fact:
1) The size of the form changes are depending on the player's current form. If the player gets a positive affect on the form the form change is percentage of the form the player doesn't (the form left to 20 form bars). If the player gets a negative affect on the form the form change is percentage of the form the player current has. This means that if a player has a high form the form reductions will be bigger and the form increases will be smaller and vice versa.
2) Directly after the match all players in the squad will get a normal form update that has nothing to do with the match itself and is only depending on the players' hidden form tendency and a random value. This normal update will mostly have greater affect than any form affect due to the match.
3) The form changes due to performances and results in a match are depending on you and your opponents team strength. If you play a match against a team that is weaker than your team the team is expected to win and therefore the form will not be affected very much if you win. But if your team play against a stronger opponent the form increase if you win will be greater. This also works vice versa so if you lose against a weaker team the negative affect on the players will be greater.
This means that if you have are weak team you will NOT get affected by the losses as much. And if you have a really strong team you will not gain very much form when you win or perform well cause you are expected to win.
4) The team parts has some simple mission (very general speaking)
* The goalkeeper is supposed to prevent the opponents from scoring on the chances they have created
* The defenders is supposed to prevent the opponents from creating chances
* The midfielders are supposed to create chances
* The forwards are supposed to score on the chances
If a team part succeed in its "mission" the players in that team part will get a positive affect on the form proportional to the extent of the success.
This means that if the team creates 15 chances and no goals. The midfielders will get a quite a significant form increase but the forwards will get quite a significant form reduction.
The actual result of the game, if you win or you lose or the match ends in a draw is NOT very important to the form changes.
Conclusion:
The form changes due to match performances are depending on your opponent. If you win against teams that are stronger then yes you will get a bigger positive affect in the player's form. But if you lose a match against a stronger opponent you might still get a positive affect on the players' form if the team made a good performance. The form changes are depending on your team's performance compared to what was expected from the team against that opponent.
Are UCD getting deleted?![]()
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.
Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

Ta, I know who my friends are now.

Many of my four teams do I lose if let my VIP run out? 2 is it? Seriously losing my interest in this game> So maybe just the two teams will be enough for me.
I'd delete UCD before deactivating anyone else..
