It was a struggle, but we kept it to two. Big night in the First - top four playing each other. Burts losing to Harps - 92m winner - puts us back top by a point for a couple of days. A tough game for us away to the Fags while Burts have a fading Lilywhites at home should change that. Sligo will drop out of the promotion spots for the first time this season if they lose to Harps at home. Beat them, and if other results go well, they go top again!
GNR have finally started achieving, and leapfrogged Lilywhites with a real drubbing. 8 points in four games suggest they are going to be tough opposition for their next opponents.
Other big results see Athletico Bray go 9 points clear in the Second, with three teams chasing a realistic chance of promotion, though a huge collapse is all that could see Bray fail to win it. No change to the standings though.
In the Primera, it was a good night for the away teams - a good draw for Wexford at the Empress sees them slip into second at the expense of a Lofty's side that fell foul at home to a Pants side that suddenly realised that they actually are not too good to go down, and are now proving that they are potentially too good to go down. UCD's misfortune continues as Landenstown strolled through them in Belfield. This all meant that Holidaysong's first away win of the season was not enough to lift them out of the relegation spots - possibly making their game with Pants the single most important match in the Primera this Tuesday
