Half way point and we are 6th
Won't last the week, but nevertheless, a better start than anticipated. It will make the slow slide to 9th all that bit more painful![]()
Similarly, if me and five mates played the 1928 St James Gate team now, we'd destroy them. I think you'll find that the Alberts had only a slightly older age profile as yours did when they went out of existence, yet were a dramatically better side all around, as evidenced by failing to finish sixth, or indeed failing to finish outside of the top one over their last four seasons
They'd a decent manager too![]()
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.
Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but a decent result that most newly promoted sides would be proud of.
Drunk Babysitters 1-1 UCD AFC
Pants AFC 2-1 Holidaysong FC
Gates of Steel 2-1 Landenstown Forest
Wexford Boys 0-1 Provisional SRFC 77th minute winner - the Boys edged it on possession, but the Provos had way more chances

Possession: 54-46
Chances: 1-6
It was long past squeaky bum time - we scored with our last chance and Wexford's only chance came one minute later.
Then Pants got a last minute winner and Holidaysong FC missed a penalty at 1-1..

The opposite to the first game, but still we were 1-0 up in injury time at home, so still disappointing..

Got away with both Gates of Steel games, but it was the turn of Hedman to capitalise this week and a good result at The Crystal Lake..

A close one alright. The better team did win, but only just. A second very positive showing from the Gates against one of the best teams in the league, but no points on the table for either effort, and Harps win against Holidaysong drops us back into relegation spots. Our little canter may well be over...

You should be safe dp, UCD AFC away for us next and a three point lead and a home game against us spare..

Any retirements for ye? Just one for me, Ozzy Hylander. No loss.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Signor Alfonso Di Napoli is departing. May be leaving a very large hole behind. 7 great seasons

Chuck Inglethorpe, was no Matias Westlin but a big loss all the same.
Everyone needs something to believe in, I believe I'll have another beer.
Goodbye to Mr Bernie Fielder!!
No retirements for me, athough I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not..![]()
Somewhat relieved that I have no retirements either. And looking dafe now too, hopefully a win tonight to be really sure.
