Hey atfc fans, i was just wondering about your new stadium. How much will it hold? does the Co. Council hold the licence to the stadium? will it be u alone in the stadium or will there be GAA matches etc. held there as well?

Will be all ours just the same as St Mels is. The first phase will be the stand that you can see in picture being built on our clubs webpage. I think it is 2000 seater with press boxes, dressing rooms, refs room etc. Should be ready for the end of june.

Just us there along with the 21s, youths etc. to the best of my knowledge.

Will qualify us for a premier licence apparently

Dont know the exact cost of this part around €2 million I think but the whole ground will cost around €6,500000 I believe. Have an excellent group of business men of the stadium committee.

2 local companies were given the contracts. Shine Construction and Banagher Concrete.

Will take years to complete but the first stand is a good start, Identical stand the other side of the pitch next and then both seated and roofed as well. Will be an all seater covered stadium.

If you ask atfconline I am sure he will give you more detail than I know.

Not sure how much we have raised. I know we got a couple of grants from the sports council of FAI.

Any money raised has been through Cheltenham race days, our annual golf classic and gala dinners and maybe other things I can't think of at the mo. There is another fundraiser being announced soon so keep an eye out on our web site for details
